Zambia Appoints Ms. L. Aina Moore as its New Managing Director
Lusaka, Zambia, October 12, 2023 - The Board and Management of Ecobank Zambia Limited is delighted to announce the appointment of Aina Moore as the Managing Director for Ecobank Zambia Limited.
Aina brings a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in which she worked for the Central Bank of The Gambia, where she rose to the position of Senior Banking Officer before launching into the corporate world of commercial banking across West Africa. She started this journey in Guaranty Trust Bank in The Gambia, where she led the Corporate Bank team, first as Relationship Manager in the newly opened franchise, and grew through the ranks to become a General Manager and the Divisional Head of the bank’s Corporate Division.
She recently held the position of Managing Director for Ecobank Sierra Leone Limited for the last eight years. Before that, she served as the Executive Director and Corporate Bank Head of Ecobank Sierra Leone Limited.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Moore, the incoming Ecobank Zambia Managing Director said: “This is an incredible opportunity which comes with a sense of purpose and a high-level responsibility for the bank’s strategic growth, as we continue to build a world class Pan African bank in Zambia, and to contribute to the socio-economic and financial development of the African Continent.
