IPOB: Total Sit-At-Home Compliance Recorded Across Biafraland

 

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced what it described as total and overwhelming compliance with its sit-at-home directive across Biafraland, calling the development a historic show of unity and loyalty to its detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

In a press briefing released on Monday, IPOB said communities across the South-East, including Omambala, Onitsha, and other parts of Igboland, observed the directive peacefully, shutting down commercial and social activities in solidarity.

According to the group, the widespread compliance demonstrates that threats, intimidation, and what it termed “state-sponsored coercion” have failed to weaken the resolve of the Biafran people or diminish their support for Kanu.

IPOB noted that the ancestral lands of Eri, Nri, Igbo-Ukwu, and Uzo-Igbo once again affirmed their historical role as the moral backbone of the Igbo nation, stressing that the people “are born free and will not submit to fear.”

The group described the action as a peaceful but firm message to authorities, insisting that the Biafran people would not be forced to abandon their leader or betray their collective will.

IPOB further stated that its support for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should not be seen as a weakness but as a unifying strength driving its continued demand for justice and freedom through lawful means.

While reaffirming its commitment to order, discipline, and respect for institutions, the group warned that it would continue to resist any attempt to intimidate or humiliate its people, adding that Kanu’s continued detention only strengthens its resolve.

“Biafraland has spoken. The world is watching. And our resolve remains unshaken,” the statement concluded.
